Using your loaf

Time flies when you're having fun! And that is certainly the case for Sheffield success story Loaf Hairstylists. Since the salon shot to fame in 2006 series of Channels 4's risking it all, the business has gone from strength to strength. The early promise was evident when the show billed it as the "most successful business of the series!", the brand has continued to be a huge hit locally and beyond. Now coming up to it's fifth birthday, the brand has delivered on the early promise recognised by telly experts.

The brain child of two Sheffield businessmen - Craig Wilson and Richard Darlow. These two identified a gap in the hairdressing market "Research shows many wanted a professional and stylish haircut but they didn't want to travel into the city centre and also didn't want to pay such a high price."Craig said at the time. Thus Loaf was born, armed with the ethos of 'City centre styling - for the suburbs'. With the salons approach being... relaxed yet professional, a combination that works well when coupled with their quality brand image.

After the much publicised launch of first salon in Woodseats expansion soon followed with the Broomhill salon opening in 2007 and the Crystal Peaks following last year. Loaf now has 20 hairdressers in their three salons in Sheffield with a huge wealth of experience and knowledge. Indeed they have stylists who have trained all over the world in search of hairdressing excellence. All Loaf salons are specialist colouring salons and have Wella master colourists in each. They are experts in creative cutting, men's hair, hair extensions, hair up and wedding styles, plus chemical straightening and permanent waving.

The relaxed atmosphere and quality of work have kept people coming back time and time again.

Further growth has been predicted as the majority stake in the company has been acquired by multi-million pound corporation, The Wildes Group in 2009. Marc Wildes - Group Director "Loaf is an established brand already and we are keen to develop the business even further in the future - taking them to the forefront of fashion whilst remaining dedicated to customer service."
